Solutions4Health are delighted to be offering the role of Wellbeing Coach at Health and Wellbeing 4 Slough.  This is a Zero-hour contract with an hourly rate of £12.02.

Role Summary 

The Wellness Coach will join a team delivering the Health and Wellbeing Slough service, supporting diverse communities. While primarily focused on weight management, the role also includes delivering NHS health checks, fall prevention, and stop-smoking services.

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual with health and well-being expertise to support lifestyle interventions and public health programs. Solutions 4 Health delivers innovative projects that promote risk assessment, behaviour change, and healthier lifestyles across Slough.

Main duties of the job

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Delivery of the Shape Up 4 Life programme via the instructor manual to groups within diverse local community settings.

Using your relevant training and experience to enhance the sessions and empower clients to make positive and sustainable behaviour changes.

Effectively managing weekly groups by providing support to participants to improve their behaviour and take responsibility for losing weight using motivational interviewing, negotiating and empathic skills.

Making sessions interactive and leading group discussion around various topics within the Shape Up 4 Life manual such as portion sizes and food labelling.

Taking anthropometric measures such as height, weight, waist circumference and blood pressure from clients.

Completing appropriate paperwork such as dietary analysis questionnaires, physical activity questionnaires and evaluation forms.

Participating in any necessary training programmes and taking responsibility for own development, learning and performance.

To represent S4H in a professional manner, acting as an advocate for the organisation always.

To be flexible about working hours including scheduled weekend and evening work.
