Solutions4Health are delighted to be offering the role of Specialist Sexual Health Nurse at Newcastle. This is full-time with a salary of £37,338.00 to £44,962.00 depending on experience.
Role Summary
The successful applicant will deliver level-one sexual health services as outlined by the Department of Health in the National Strategy for Sexual Health. They will provide advanced level 2/3 services, including screening, diagnosing, and treating sexually transmitted infections, and managing contraceptive methods. This role involves educating patients, initiating referrals for partner notification, and offering broader sexual health support. You will contribute to pathway and systems development, work autonomously and as part of a multidisciplinary team, and mentor nursing and medical students. Adherence to Patient Group Directions for medication dispensing is required unless you are a Nurse Prescriber.

We are looking for the candidate to have the following:
Registered Nurse Level 1
ENB 276 or equivalent (Contraception course)
ENB 901/R71 or equivalent (Sexually transmitted infections course)
Possession of a Diploma or degree in Nursing or working towards it
ENB 998/C&G 730 or other recognised teaching qualification
Recognized Mentorship training and possession of a mentorship passport
Cervical smear course (or willingness to undertake)
