We are looking for a confident and established Talent Coordinator to support the HR team in the delivery of all recruitment and talent coordination services within our Hospitals.
The Talent Coordinator will undertake tasks and responsibilities in all aspects of talent and people coordination including recruitment and retention, policy implementation, and organisational change. Working closely with the Human Resources Team and the Hospital Manger, this role will be fundamental in shaping our people activity as well as supporting the entire colleague lifecycle for colleagues.
The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to relate well to people on all levels with sensitivity, tact and diplomacy. This is a busy and dynamic post and will require someone who is highly organised and possesses excellent administrative skills, remains calm under pressure and can work to tight deadlines.
Main duties of the job
Main Duties
Provide support and guidance to Hospital Managers and Ellern Mede Group staff across the full range of work, and contribute to the successful delivery of the Human Resource function through supporting and reflecting the organisation’s core values, aims and objectives.
Participate in the implementation of specific projects, procedures and guidelines to help align the workforce with the strategic goals of the organisation.
To ensure that all patients are safeguarded from potential harm and to conduct activities in a manner which is consistent with professional practice, policy and legislation JD Talent Coordinator (previously Human Resource Assistant), November 2022 Principle
Duties – Recruitment
Coordinate the candidate experience, from start to finish (advert to onboarding)
Provide efficient, effective and professional administrative support to the key stakeholders
Follow the recruitment pathway to ensure compliance standards are achieved
Support the induction process for new joiners
Carry out pre-employment checks – DBS, Occupational Health, References & Right to Work in a timely manner to ensure our new colleague has cleared checks ahead of their start date
Advertise vacancies on TALOS and internally whilst supporting sites with the drafting of job adverts • Maintaining job descriptions and recruitment templates
Making employment offers in line with trial closing guidelines provided
Principle Duties – Talent Management and Retention
Provide general administration support to the HR Team where required including preparation of employee letters in relation to any salary, bonus or benefit adjustment
Ensure accurate HR records are maintained for all colleagues via Mitrefinch, including administration of new joiners, contractual changes and leavers
Follow through with Line Managers to ensure that the probationary period is concluded and all relevant correspondence actioned.
Monitor compliance checks – DBS, Occupational Health, References & Right to Work in a timely manner
Support monthly data reporting and HR Metrics reporting
Support the Hospital Manager in the annual appraisal process
Informing employees of their rights and entitlements and keeping them up to date on any changes that are made
Processing incoming HR email
Take notes of HR related meetings to support the Hospital Manager and HR Team

Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- GCSE, or equivalent, in English and Maths Grade C or above
- Competency interviewing and selection skills
- Experience of working with Microsoft packages including word, excel and power point.
- Experience of delivering high quality customer care
- Database management
- Previous experience in Human Resources or recruitment
- Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development
Desirable
- Degree in HR or equivalent
