Job summary
EM Group offers care to very complex cases. These cases require significant nursing and therapeutic input. Some of them require specific and individualised care as part of the treatment plan. Elements of such care can be highly complex and professional and will require expert input. TSWs are part of the HCAs team, however given their unique skills and role they function as the long arm of the MDT on the wards and are tasked with specific care and therapeutic work elements that are part of the daily routine of the patients on the wards
TSWs form part of the nursing team on the shift, but will be prioritised to perform therapeutic work with patients such as social outings, exposure work, self-harm reduction, group work, meal support, de-escalation post feeds and incidents, community meetings and 1:1 sessions. TSWs will be prioritised to attend MDT for the relevant ward.
