Job Details:
- Location: Site based - Rotherham
- Salary: £35,500 to £40,000
- Hours: Full Time and Part Time Available
As a Social Worker you are required to work effectively within the MDT to support our young people, their families and carers. As a critical member of the team, is it essential you hold strong risk management and safe guarding knowledge/skills.
Excellent working knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983/2007 as well as other statutory legislation such as Childrens Act 1989, Care Act 2014, child protection, protection of vulnerable adults and multi-agency public protection arrangements is required.
Ideally you will have experience of working with children and young adults within a mental health or CAMHS service.
Main duties of the job
Essential elements to your role:
- Safeguarding
- Assessments of and meeting with carers and families.
- Liaison with community services to secure transfer of care as required
- To act as link between inpatient services and receiving community teams
- Discharge planning.
- Liaising with/assessing advocacy services.
- Overseeing patient rights.
- Providing holistic social circumstances reports for tribunal.
- Management and supervision of junior staff
