Please note that we are recruiting for several positions across PCNs within Dacorum.
The first round of interviews will take place via Teams Meeting within two weeks of the closing date.
Direct patient contact through assessment, examination, investigation, diagnosis and treatment
Support practices with structured care around patients with long term conditions
First point of contact of care to establish a working diagnosis and management plan in partnership with the patient
Have direct and immediate access when needed to a GP and work under their supervision. Review, analyse and action diagnostic test results
Deliver integrated patient centred-care through appropriate working with the wider primary care MDT
Undertake consultations for emergency or routine problems and management of patients with long-term conditions
Undertake home visits, participate in duty rotas and possess a valid driving licence
Utilise clinical guidelines and partake in clinical audits, significant event reviews and other research and analysis tasks
Keep up to date with evidence-based knowledge and competence in all aspects, meeting governance guidelines for CPD
Main duties of the job
A Post Graduate Degree in Physician Associate Studies from an accredited PA Programme
Membership of the Faculty of Physician Associates at the RCP, which includes UK Physician Associate Registration (the PA Managed Voluntary Register)
Current and valid certification or re-certification by the UK Physician Associate National Examination
Experience of working in a medicine environment, including preventative medicine and chronic disease management
Flexible and adaptable approach to a varied and high-volume workload with the ability to multi-task and to work under pressure
Consistently compassionate and respectful approach placing a high value on the dignity of patients, relatives, carers and colleagues.
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, relatives, nurses and other staff and agencies
Commitment to continuing professional development
On-going training / study leave will be considered to support personal development.

Primary Care Networks (PCNs), supported by Dacorum Healthcare Providers Limited (DHPL), are developing new and exciting additional roles under the 2020 scheme, to support GPs and clinical teams at enhancing patient services in the local community.
There is a wide socio-economic and demographic served within this area which will provide an interesting and varied case mix. The role will contribute to improving quality of patient care across the network of practices.
