Main duties of the job
- Conduct preventive maintenance and routine checks on Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment to ensure optimal operation
- Diagnose and repair faults in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning systems promptly and effectively
- Manage and document maintenance activities, including logging equipment status and maintaining job worksheets
- Requisition and verify materials and spare parts required for maintenance and repairs
- Troubleshoot malfunctions, perform repairs, and make minor installation decisions as necessary
- Ensure the safety of the Refrigeration and Air Conditioning systems and liaise with subcontractors for safe maintenance
- Make recommendations for equipment replacement when repair costs exceed replacement value
- Maintain operational readiness by ensuring systems are on and functioning at the scheduled times
