Main duties of the job

  • Review labels on fire doors and provide maintenance if required
  • Undertake manufacturing, assembly, erection, and installation of carpentry and joinery works in accordance with drawings, specifications, and current legislation, ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance of structural and fabric components, including doors, windows, ceilings, floors, and locks, with minimal supervision across the site.
  • Maintain, repair, and install complex locking systems, including electronic, digital, and high security locks, ensuring functionality and security.
  • Work on a range of structural elements and fixtures, including fault finding, patch plastering, glazing, and refitting, to ensure the integrity and safety of estate infrastructure.
  • Adhere to safe systems of work, permits, and regulations during all carpentry and joinery tasks, including working out of hours and emergency situations.
  • Use own initiative and technical knowledge to design, quantify, and carry out joinery installations and repairs in compliance with current guidance and legislation.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external contractors to coordinate works, communicate effectively, and ensure successful completion of joinery projects and repairs.
