work within an innovative and forward-facing clinical model for general practice.
Our vision is to ensure we transform patient care and practice working with
innovation, technology and continuity at the heart of what we do. To provide
sustainable primary care services for patients in Islington and surrounding
areas, and we aim to be a national exemplar for primary care provision.
This has been successfully introduced at Barnsbury
Medical Practice and in your role, you will support its development within
Northern Medical Centre alongside our GP Design and Mobilisation lead. The
service is constantly developing, and all members of the team are invited to be
part of its design and evolution if they wish to be.
At the core of this team will be our hybrid GP
workforce and clinical pharmacist team, integrated into the in-house clinical
team and providing a critical role in processing clinical admin and providing
patient access through remote consultation.
You will work as the GP lead of
the clinical team delivering
General Medical Services to registered
patients at Northern Medical Centre (NMC). The post holder will
also work within the wider Federation team including
with the Primary Care Service Design Leads to contribute to clinical leadership across Federation
practices, these being Barnsbury Medical Practice (BMP), Northern Medical Centre as well as a third practice that will
soon be run by IGPF.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an
enthusiastic, experienced
GP who wishes to help
lead the Northern clinical team.
You will be working with
practice-based pharmacists, a range
of primary care nurses, HCAs, GPs and the
wider multidisciplinary team. You should
have at least three years experience as a fully
qualified GP.
In your
role you will also contribute to wider
clinical primary care leadership
in the Federation. You will
be working with IGPF, a dynamic organisation where there
is the possibility to adapt and
develop with the practice team.

IGPF is
currently in the process of understanding how planned care can be undertaken in a modern and manageable way. There is an

January 2021 and for Northern Medical Centre since January 2023.
