Main duties of the job
The clinical nurse specialist is a pivotal role that requires clinical expertise along with the ability to manage and prioritise workloads. We are looking for someone who shares our values and is as enthusiastic about care as we are.
Your time will be split between our good rated, flagship office in Heywood, Lancashire, and within the community, overseeing clinical support being provided for the people we support, within their own homes.
Our clinical nurse specialist role offers the opportunity for you to have an excellent work-life balance, with no weekend, shift or night working requirements.
In this role, you will:
- Take clinical ownership of your client caseload, creating and managing bespoke care plans.
- Lead and deliver clinical training for Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers.
- Ensure a compliant, high-quality, person-centred care service.
- Review clinical paperwork and MAR Charts.
- Build strong relationships with clients, their families and care teams.
- Provide ongoing mandatory training and development in line with national standards.

- A valid NMC Pin
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
Experience
Essential
- At least 12 months community experience OR Complex care nursing experience with up-to-date clinical competencies.
- Full UK Driving Licence with access to a vehicle.
- Experience delivering clinical interventions including:
- Airway Management (Tracheostomy Care)
- Ventilation Management
- Enteral Feeding
- Suctioning
Desirable
- ABI and Spinal Injury knowledge and experience would be highly beneficial, but training can be provided.
