Children's Healthcare Assistant

Job summary

We are looking to recruit Healthcare Assistants who have a genuine interest in working with children and young people, to support our young service users who have complex care needs.

Our service user is toddler who lives in Pocklington,York who requires support through the day and night.

You will be fulfilling his sensory, play and social needs when required, this could be accompanying to nursery and or school, general play at home, walks to the park and accessing the community.

We offer comprehensive training allowing you to enhance your experience of working in care and / or with children by working in a more clinical role.

Training can include but is not limited to;

• Tracheostomy Care
• Ventilation management
• Personal Care
• Moving & Handling
• Gastrostomy Care (PEG feed)

Main duties of the job

This is a great opportunity where you will be using your valuable skills from your gained experience and progressing into a Childrens Complex Care Assistant.

Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.

We provide care every day of the week 365 days a year, we can offer a rota of shifts based around your availability and the shifts available:

• Part Time
• Day and Nights
• Must be flexible to cover days and nights

Weekdays £15.00 per hour (£150 approx per shift)

Weeknights £15.50 per hour (£155 approx per shift)

Saturday £16.00 per hour (£160 approx per shift)

Sunday £17.50 per hour (£175 approx per shift)

Bank Holiday £20.00 per hour (£200 approx per shift)
