Apollo Home Healthcare are seeking a team of experienced Healthcare Assistants to support a gentleman with his complex care needs on a 1:1 and 2:1 basis.

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate individuals who are passionate about their job, enjoy delivering one to one support and who can build positive relationships with our service users and their families.

We are offering all new candidates a £150 Welcome Bonus for this package

Our service user is a very sociable guy in his 30s who lives at home with his loving family in Darlington and requires support with his complex care needs throughout the night.

In this fulfilling role, you will provide personalised care and support, ensuring our gentleman's comfort and well-being.

He enjoys spending quality time with his family and enjoys the interaction and engagement with his care team. He loves to be out and about accessing the community such as going bowling, to the cinema and having trips out to the seaside.

He he is a big fan of exploring sensory based activities, music therapy, and tactile play.

Main duties of the job

Throughout the night on a 1:1 basis you will provide support with his personal care, repositioning, clinical observations and attending to his clinical care needs when required. You will provide a peaceful environment to promote a restful nights sleep.

Our service user is none verbal and communicates through a variety of methods such as facial expressions and body language. It is important you become familiar with his methods of communication to ensure his needs and wants are met. Patience and understanding are key qualities for this role.

Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.

Shifts Available

  • Part Time Nights Available- 24 hours per week
  • 8:00pm - 8:00am
  • Alternate weekends are needed for this position

Please note that training will be provided locally

Weeknights: £12.50 per hour (Approx. £150.00 per 12-hour shift)

Weekends: £12.75 per hour (Approx. £153.00 per 12-hour shift)

Bank Holidays: £15.50 per hour (Approx. £186.00 per 12-hour shift)
