We are currently looking for a Children & Young People's Champion with the following:
- Experience of working with children and young people, as
well as knowledge of Hillingdon CYP services however, this is not essential.

Main duties of the job
As a Children & Young
Peoples Champion the post holder will work
as part of a multidisciplinary team, within the Integrated Neighbourhood Teams,
to develop and contribute to improving the experience of Children & Young
People (CYP) requiring mental health & wellbeing support. The role is part
of an overall drive to support CYP to get the right support at the right place
first time and to provide early intervention to reduce the risk of escalation
or crisis.
The role is new, likely to evolve and develop over time with
the aim of collecting quantitative and qualitative data to evidence the impact,
leading to more substantive funding. The expectation is that the post holder
will develop robust relationships and knowledge of CYP services across
Hillingdon and the Integrated Neighbourhood Teams, to act as a resource for
primary care and the wider system.

Collaborative Working Relationships
- Foster and maintain strong links
with all services across the PCN and neighbouring networks.
- Explores the potential for
collaborative working and takes opportunities to initiate and sustain such
relationships.
- Establish robust relationships with CYP services across Hillingdon,
acting as a resource for primary care and the wider system.
- Demonstrates use of appropriate
communication to gain the co-operation of relevant stakeholders (including
patients, senior and peer colleagues, and other professionals, other
NHS & private organisations e.g. ICBs, Trusts).
- Work closely with Integrated Neighbourhood Teams to ensure a
cohesive approach to CYP mental health and wellbeing support.
- Create and execute strategies to enhance the mental health
and wellbeing of CYP, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate
interventions.
- Act as a resource for primary care and schools, offering guidance and
support to ensure the best outcomes for CYP.
