Cervical Screening Administrator - Maternity Cover

Job summary

We will work alongside the successful candidate to ensure they are sufficiently inducted and trained; there will be regular constructive supervision in place. It is important to us that you feel safe and supported in the role.

Main duties of the job

To support the work of the Cervical Screening project team ensuring highly responsive co-production with a range of stakeholders including primary care health professionals, key health influencers, health organisations, outreach, charities and service users.

We also deliver a portfolio of NHS services across Suffolk and North East Essex, including Podiatry, Ultrasound, Diabetes, as well as urgent Care Services including the Out of Hours face-to-face Service in Suffolk.

Job responsibilities

We are looking for a Cervical Screening Administrator to join our Cervical Screening team in Felixstowe on a Fixed Term basis.

As part of your role you will promote and co-produce in order to support the projects mission to increase the uptake of cervical screening amongst specific groups including:

  • Women who have never had a smear
  • Women aged 25-49 no smear in 4 years
  • Women aged 50-64 - no smear in 6 years
  • Deprivation
  • LD and Mental health
  • LGBT
  • BAME

You will also support with the admin for our Cytology training service, The main purpose of this role is to support Suffolk and North East Essex GP Practices by ensuring there is a focus on quality in the delivery of primary care cervical screening services. 

The successful candidate will creative and enthusiastic to help drive our campaign. You will have a flexible approach to your role, and work cohesively with other health organisations as well as patients and colleagues.
