Job summary

To succeed in this role you will need experience of working at a similar level in a specialist area

You will need highly refined skills in relationship development, management and maintenance

You will need to be able to demonstrate experience of coordinating projects in complex and challenging environments

you will need to have knowledge of financial systems e.g. monitoring budget management, processing invoices and procurement

Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures.

Main duties of the job

To play a pivotal role in the delivery of primary care within the PCN

To deliver effective projects and services for the PCN

To ensure the PCN is operating efficiently and revenue streams are optimised to maintain 

income and sustainability

The post-holder will form an integral part of the PCN leadership team working alongside the 

Clinical Director, Practice Managers and PCN board members

Coordinating the successful achievement of all governance requirements, the PCN Manager 

will work with the PCN to translate national and local policy into meaningful changes, and will support practices to achieve improved outcomes for the local population.

About us

Our PCN comprises of 2 practices - Clements Surgery (Unity) and Haverhill Family Practice. The practices have a combined geographic area across the Haverhill region and surrounding villages.

You will be joining an enthusiastic team of clinicians and administrators. You will be well supported with on-going professional development (training support, CPD and peer support). The role will contribute to the improving quality of care of our patients.

  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment
  • Ability to prepare, produce and present concise yet insightful communications for dissemination to senior stakeholders and a broad range of stakeholders as required
  • Experience of creating and giving presentations to a varied group of internal and external stakeholders

Desirable

  • Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant
  • Understanding of the public sector
  • Demonstrated experience in a Healthcare environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of project principles, techniques and tools, such as Prince 2 Foundation and Microsoft Project
