Job summary
- Youll be actively supporting the Payroll Manager in the end-to-end payroll processing of 2 entities.
- Youll support the execution of payroll month end and year-end processes including ensuring backups are completed and saved.
- Youll have direct contact with our workforce, resolving their pay queries plus queries relating to tax, NI and Pension.
- Youll also be a key driver of the implementation of a new in-house payroll system and be an integral part of the project team.
Main duties of the job
We will work alongside the successful candidate to ensure they are sufficiently inducted and trained; there will be regular constructive supervision in place. It is important to us that you feel safe and supported in the role.
We ask for:
- Minimum of 1 years experience working as Payroll Officer or Assistant Payroll Officer, working within a medium sized organisation.
- A working understanding of:
- Auto-enrolment pension
- Statutory payments (SSP, SMP, etc)
- Holiday pay legislation and minimum wage compliance
- HMRC RTI legislation and directors payments
- Experience of HMRC requirements
- Experience of compiling reports.
