Job summary
The role sits in the Strategy and Delivery team and will support the Director of Delivery in the provision of efficient, effective and high quality urgent care services to ensure sustainable delivery of all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements and development of key services as agreed through the planning assumptions ICB strategic plan.
This is a senior leadership role, a key player in delivering the constitutional standards for urgent care through supporting key providers to achieve and to develop their services to become sustainable. They will be responsible for the long-term provision of Joined Up Care Derbyshire's (JUCD) Urgent Care services. The role is responsible for ensuring that service design and delivery is based on best practice operational & activity management processes.

Main duties of the job
You will be accountable for the development, implementation and delivery of a system wide urgent care function that supports JUCD Integrated Care System (ICS) Delivery Boards and the broader governance groups.
The role requires strong relationships and partnerships with key organisations to support delivery of key services. You will be an ambassador for urgent care and the key programmes that underpin it.
This requires the possession of well developed leadership skills and the ability to harness positive relationships across the system with energy, enthusiasm and tenacity.
The post holder will lead specific programmes of activity with the aim of supporting the long-term improvement of Joined Up Care Derbyshire's (JUCD) Urgent Care provision, the surrounding system and services for local people.
The role is responsible for ensuring that service design and delivery is based on best practice operational & activity management tools, systems and processes that support delivery of the key outcomes of safe, effective & timely planned care.
The role will involve driving the strategy for urgent care and critical care ensuring there is alignment across the system and be responsible for leading the overarching JUCD Urgent Care improvement programme working with partner organisations to ensure actions are completed.
