Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Service Development, Integration, Transformation and Delivery Lead within the Age Well portfolio on a permanent basis within NCL ICB's Strategy and Population Health Directorate for the borough of Camden or Islington. We are looking to appoint of two individuals to lead the core offer for community services for Camden and Islington.

This role is ideal for individuals who have a strong passion to improve population health for NCL's 1.7m residents by delivering a more proactive model of care closer to people's homes, and recognises the strategic significance of community services in achieving this. Service Development: The Integration Transformation and Delivery Lead (Age Well) will provide support to the Service Development: Integration, Transformation and Delivery Senior Manager (Age Well) to enable system local delivery and development of these services aligned to NCL's Service Development specialisms and implementation of the "core offer".

Main duties of the job

This role delivers both borough specific and NCL-wide capacity to drive specific priorities relating to service development with Service Development staff embedded within the BIUs (Borough Integration Units). You will play a key role in shaping service development delivery through place and will need to collaborate with each other and colleagues within Place Development help co-create the NCL ICB approach to delivery locally, in line with our population health strategy.

The post holder will need to work with peers across Service Development in order to implement change NCL-wide. Candidates should have a passion for improving health system productivity, ensuring financial sustainability for the NHS and cultivation of wider socio-economic externalities. They should also be motivated by driving improvements in health equity and aligning resources to need.

This role will be line managed by the Service Development: Integration, Transformation and Delivery Senior Manager (Age Well) work closely with the Assistant Director for Community Service Development.

  • Educated to degree level, or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in this area

Desirable

  • Excellent knowledge of project/programme management (principles/ techniques/ tools), service delivery, business processes, office systems, and ways of working.

Experience

  • Proven ability to deliver a portfolio of work - on time, according to specification and within budget, monitoring and reporting on risks and outcomes to ensure successful delivery - often within complex and challenging environments
  • Demonstrated experience of relationship building and partnership working (delivering engagement and co-design) with a range of internal/ external stakeholders.
