Job summary

In April 2025, the North Central London Integrated Care Board (NCL ICB), along with the other ICBs in London and in other regions across England will take on responsibilities for a wide range of Specialised Services. This follows on from the successful delegation of Dental, Optometry and Community Pharmacy Services and the fact that some other regions have already taken on delegation from April 2024.

Delegation represents a significant increase in the responsibilities for the ICB and an exciting challenge to join up pathways, improve outcomes and coordinate the management of demand driven by our system clinical strategy for specialised services which is aligned to our overall Population Health & Integrated Care Strategy.

The Delegated Services Programme Support Lead will support the Head of the Delegated Services Programme and the relevant Assistant Director to effectively plan and manage the delegation of services to the ICB, identifying and mitigating risks associated with transition and managing on-going improvements pre and post delegation including collaboratively integrating pathways. The postholder will also be required to manage Dental and Community Optometry services directly and to work in a matrix manner with Primary Care with respect to Community Pharmacy as required to fulfil the objectives of the role and will have strategic leadership responsibility for the delivery of the Delegated Services function described above.

The Programme Support Lead will:

  • Support the Transformation Programme Managers to deliver transformation programme plans, maintaining relevant risk registers and updating programme plans.
  • Support the NCL Delegated Services Clinical Lead to align the clinical priorities of the NCL Delegated Services Clinical Reference Group to the North London Transformation Group
