Job summary
Are you a highly organised and experienced Personal Assistant (PA) with a track record in minute taking and managing complex diaries? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, supporting directors and other senior colleagues?
If so, North Central London ICB has an exciting secondment opportunity for an experienced PA, supporting directors across all our directorates. You will play a vital role in providing swift cover where needed, working flexibly to ensure that our directors' diaries, mailboxes, and other commitments are expertly supported.
You'll work closely with senior leaders in the ICB, as well as with our wider corporate and business support team (PAs, EAs and Business Manager colleagues). You'll use your excellent communication and organisational skills to support the directors and ensure that their time is effectively managed, and their commitments are prioritised.
This is a secondment opportunity until 31 March 2025. Please note that priority will be given to NCL ICB employees who are affected by change.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for an experienced PA with the following skills and attributes:
Proven experience as a Personal Assistant, and the ability to work pro-actively, providing effective, and flexible support services to directors.
Experience working in a fast-paced team, with the ability to work independently.
Ability to manage and monitor complex, high-volume and potentially sensitive mailboxes, ensuring effective prioritisation and identification of key issues to bring to the attention of your directors.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to quickly build strong relationships with directors, other senior colleagues, and the wider Business Support team.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills, and a desire to work in a fast-paced, team environment, supporting colleagues with cross-cover as needed.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and prioritise effectively, with the skills to oversee a range of incoming and sometimes complex information.
The ICB has a collaborative and inclusive 'one team approach' and as PA you will be at the heart of this, providing cross-cover, shared learning and development as required. You will be based at our Laycock Street office in Islington and will have the opportunity to work flexibly from both office and home.
About us
NHS North Central London Integrated Care Board (NCL ICB) was established on 1 July 2022. The ICB is part of North Central London Integrated Care System (ICS). The ICS is a partnership of organisations that come together to plan and deliver joined up health and care services to improve the lives of people in our five boroughs: Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey and Islington.
ICBs are statutory NHS bodies responsible for planning and allocating resources to meet the four core purposes of ICSs:
o to improve outcomes in population health and healthcareo tackle inequalities in outcomes, experience and accesso enhance productivity and value for moneyo help the NHS support broader social and economic development.
North Central London's population is incredibly diverse and continues to grow and change. This brings pressure and challenges for the local health and care services that NCL ICB commissions - or buys - on behalf of residents. NCL ICB works closely with councils, providers, general practices, voluntary, community organisations, and unions, to achieve our shared aims.
We value our staff, our partners and their expertise to deliver the best health and care possible for the patients and residents of North Central London.
