Job summary
The NHS Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board (BSW ICB) is part of the BSW Together Integrated Care System (ICS). The ICB oversees how money is spent and makes sure that health services work well and are of high quality. It brings together hospitals, primary care, local councils, hospices, voluntary community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations and Healthwatch partners in our local places: Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire.
As Compliance Officer, you will assist us with the maintenance and continuous development of the ICB's policy framework, and with the continuous development, implementation and monitoring of controls and compliance.
The role's focusis on information governance. You will support the continuous development, maintenance and implementation ofour information governancepolicies; support our annual completion of the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT); support the organisation's responses to FoI requests and subject access requests (SAR); and support the management of and response to information governance incidents.
You will have a good knowledge and understanding of data protection legislation and of the FoI Act. You will demonstrate appreciation and respect for the confidentiality of the data that you will handle, and conscientiousness and diligence with regards to data protection principles.
Main duties of the job
The role supports the ICB's and colleagues' compliance with internal policies andprocesses, with data protection legislation, and with the Freedom of Information (FoI) Act.The role plays an important role in the organisation's annual completion of the Data Securityand Protection Toolkit (DSPT).The role assists with the maintenance and continuous development of the ICB's policyframework, and supports / assists with the continuous development, implementation andmonitoring of controls and compliance

BSW ICB have adopted agile working so this means the successful applicant will predominately be working from home but may be requested to work in any one of the ICB's office bases across BaNES, Swindon and Wiltshire. You will also have a contractual base within the BSW ICB office where your team is based.
