Job summary

The Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire Integrated Care Board (BSW ICB) brings together hospitals, primary care, local councils, hospices, voluntary community, and social enterprise (VCSE) organisations and Healthwatch partners in our local places: Bath and North East Somerset, Swindon and Wiltshire. Main duties of the job

As Head of Delivery, you will drive and co-ordinate the successful delivery of system and NHS England planning requirements for the BSW Implementation Plan refresh process, the BSW Recovery Plan and the three-year plan, and other planning requirements as required. You will engage with strategic regional and national leads, and ICB and system leads to develop and manage the system framework for monitoring against delivery of our collective plans, and ensure that this isaligned with organisational and system reporting and governance arrangements. As part of the role, you will have oversight of the ICB's PMO and champion the consistent application of programme management and risk management methodologies and frameworks.

BSW ICB have adopted agile working so this means the successful applicant will predominately be working from home but may be requested to work in any one of the ICB's office bases across BaNES, Swindon and Wiltshire. You will also have a contractual base within the BSW ICB office where your team is based.

Essential

  • Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area
  • Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
  • Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
  • Should have an appreciation of the relationship between the Department of Health, the NHS England, the ICB and system partner organisations

Communication Skills

Essential

  • Highly developed communication skills with the ability to communicate on highly complex matters and difficult situations
  • Excellent communication skills for delivering key messages to a range of internal and external stakeholders across all system partners and the local population
  • Ability to provide and receive, convey and present highly complex, sensitive and/or contentious information to large groups, responding openly to questions to ensure full understanding and engagement
  • Ability to communicate with clinical, academic and all levels of colleagues effectively
