BSW ICB is working with Macmillan Cancer Support, who are investing in new roles to support systems in providing leadership and creating capacity to bring about sustained transformational change in palliative and end of life care (PEOLC). These new transformational roles will support the strategic design and direction of services, rather than direct delivery.
This transformational role requires a leader who can strengthen relationships and ways of working that builds capacity and capability to support the system and partners to a state of maturity to deliver transformational change in PEOLC. Working in partnership to ensure that everyone at the end of their life has their vital needs met by high quality sustainable and supportive services.
The post is a fixed term for 18 months and could be suitable for a secondment. The base for the role is in the BSW Chippenham headquarters and covers the BSW geographical area, with hybrid working and meetings across BSW.
Main duties of the job
The required start date must be no later than 28th of October 2024, however successful candidate will be required to attend the Macmillan Leadership Academy on the 24th and 25th of September 2024

The successful post holder will support and provide strategic leadership to the BSW End of Life Alliance and the BSW health and care system and work with our system partners across the BSW integrated care system (ICS) to deliver the:

The Macmillan Transformation Lead will work alongside the ICBs Palliative and End of Life Care (PEoLC) Alliance to improve outcomes for patients and the sustainability of PEoLC services by:
