Job summary

We are seeking to recruit a Senior Workforce Analyst at BSW ICB who will work within the ICB People and Culture team supporting strategic workforce planning and the production of workforce intelligence across the ICS.

This role will be vital in embedding the principles of integrated workforce planning across the ICS and ensure the delivery of comprehensive workforce development plans which will be used to inform the development of the ICS and regional workforce strategy/People Plans.

The post holder will support the workforce planning element of the annual NHS operating planning round and its ongoing monitoring as well as contributing to a range of specific Workforce transformation projects including the South West Regional Agency Collaborative and the BSW Acute Hospitals Alliance.

Main duties of the job

  • Support the ICS in undertaking operational, multiyear, and other workforce planning exercises, ensuring plans are well triangulated, realistic and complete.
  • Develop a Workforce Intelligence Strategy, that identifies the needs of the ICS, our workforce intelligence principles, and how the ICS can be appropriately supported.
  • Support the development and embedding of local data analytics products, and be a key point of contact for national and regional products.
  • Support development of integrated ICS planning tools, through close collaboration with NHSE, Skills for Care and health and care Providers across the ICS
  • To provide expertise in data analysis and have a high level of proficiency in Excel, Tableau and Power BI

Reporting to the Head of Workforce Planning and Intelligence, you will be part of a team that sits within the People and OD Directorate. Since its establishment, the team has developed a comprehensive approach to workforce reporting for our stakeholders and we work closely with all our providers and with NHSE. The next year will see an ongoing development of our offer to ensure the ICS has the best workforce data and intelligence to fulfill our assurance obligations and support strategic workforce planning activities.
