Job summary

Due to the transformation of the All Age Continuing Care Team across BANES, Swindon, and Wiltshire (BSW) ICB has created a new and exciting opportunity for a Registered Health or Care Professional to join the team as an Operational Lead.

This is a demanding role that requires a high level of skills and experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent clinical/ professional skills and knowledge relating to All Age Continuing Care, alongside effective leadership skills to continually develop and support a team to deliver outstanding care.

You will actively contribute to the delivery of the BSW ICB All Age Continuing Care strategy, ensuring high quality and safe operational performance, including the delivery of national targets. You will work collaboratively with colleagues within the ICB including, Business Intelligence, contracting, finance, commissioners, Safeguarding , quality, and the wider complex care team to ensure the effective management of resources whilst securing person centred care, and you will continually improve and transform services to meet the needs of the population requiring All Age Continuing Care support.

Main duties of the job

Under the direction of the Head of Operations and Clinical Quality for AACC you will manage and support a team of nurses and allied health and care professionals, allocating resources and ensuring high quality continuing healthcare assessments are undertaken in line with national and local policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Registered with NMC (or equivalent to specialist health profession) or Allied Health Professional (AHP).
  • Educated to Post-graduate degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level qualification or significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
  • Master's Degree level or equivalent professional experience in specialist area and/or management.

Knowledge

Essential

  • Highly developed specialist knowledge of healthcare needs and complex care areas
  • Experience and awareness of NHS Continuing Healthcare.
  • Working knowledge of NHS Long Term Plan, current legislation, and quality agenda.
  • Experience of managing a team.
  • Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment.

  • Experience of managing risks and reporting.
