Do you have experience of dealing with complex patient cases and situations as part of a team?This is a rare opportunity to join our friendly B&NES, Swindon and Wiltshire Referral Service team, to provide Maternity cover for up to 12 months.This interesting and varied role involves the clinical assessment and interpretation of patient referrals as well as supporting the referral pathway, liaising with a wide rangeof stakeholders.Although the advertised post is full-time, we would consider flexible or part-timeworking hours for the right candidate.If you think this exciting opportunity could be for you, we would love to hear fromyou.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking to recruit a Clinical Adviser (Maternity cover) to join our team ofClinicians in our evolving and innovative Referral Service. Our Clinical Adviser roleencourages you to utilise your clinical skills to support the referral process across thehealth care system. You will clinically assess and interpret patient records andreferral letters, to validate patient suitability for treatment, intervention, or furtherassessment.The successful candidate will get the opportunity to liaise with a wide range ofinternal and external stakeholders, including Referral Service administrative staff,team managers, GP Practices and Providers.

  • oEducated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area Significant Demonstrable post registration experience, with direct patient facing assessment and practice in a clinical setting. Able to demonstrate effective consolidation of clinical knowledge and practice after qualification and preceptorship. Current clinical registration as a Nurse or Allied Health Professional with equivalent comprehensive clinical training and experience. Experience in patient communications. Previous experience in audit and research. A good understanding of the health and social care environment and roles and responsibilities within it.

Desirable

  • Clinical Triage experience across multiple clinical specialties.
