We have an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience engaging with and managing stakeholders within complex projects, to join our Innovation, Research, and Improvement System (IRIS) team.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will:

apply their knowledge and expertise to establish IRIS as a virtual hub to connect stakeholder organisations within the Humber and North Yorkshire health and care partnership

be responsible for stakeholder management and coordinating the IRIS response to incoming enquires and request for support and information

provide signposting, connect stakeholders, and facilitate knowledge sharing across the system with the support of core team

provide administrative and project management support

About us

NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) is responsible for planning and arranging the provision of NHS services to meet the diverse health needs of a population of 1.7 million people. Our area reaches over 1,500 square miles and includes the cities of Hull and York and the large rural areas across East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and Northern Lincolnshire.

The ICB is part of the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership, one of 42 Integrated Care Systems (ICS) across England to meet health and care needs, coordinate services and plan in a way that improves population health and reduces inequality between groups. As a member of the Humber and North Yorkshire (HNY) Integrated Care Board, the post holder will be responsible for providing support to enable the effective day to day operations of Innovation, Research and Improvement System (IRIS).

IRIS represents a collaborative approach to research, innovation and improvement in the new ecosystem of an ICS and represents its constituent populations, sectors and partners. IRIS will bring together existing and emerging activities across the ICS to maximise our assets and connect stakeholder organisations across the system. We will work with our partners to support and grow an exemplar system which enables and facilitates research, innovation and improvement.

To achieve this, we need to understand how these parts of the system are currently operating and move towards a more joined up and collaborative way of working. The first step towards achieving this will be establishing IRIS as a virtual hub for stakeholders and providing a single front door for research, innovation and improvement.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Educated to degree level qualification or significant level of experience of working at a similar level.

Desirable

  • Relevant project management qualification.
  • Appreciation of the relationship between the HNY Integrated Care System and its partners

Experience

Essential

  • Evidence of managing effective collaborations and partnerships.
  • Ability to produce reports for dissemination to senior staff and committees.
  • Experience of setting up and implementing systems, processes and procedures.
  • Experience of working with a range stakeholders.
  • Experience in a project and/or programme environment.
  • Previous experience of working in busy and demanding administrative environments.
  • Good understanding of the health and social care environment and roles and responsibilities within it.
  • Able to work independently where required, as a team and corporate player.

Desirable

  • Updating website content and/or managing Future NHS workspaces.
  • Events planning or management.
  • Knowledge and understanding of national funding streams and NIHR infrastructure.
