Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Health and Care Integration Function in the Nursing and Quality Directorate at NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB). We are looking to attract an experienced, energetic and inspiring leader who has experience at board or sub board level. You must be a values driven individual determined to ensure the ICB is a key player in system development and integration supporting high quality innovative services for people and their families.
Working with partners and the public the ICB is committed to system wide transformation moving towards integrated care and its ambition to address population health need and inequalities. The emergent Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs) are an important vehicle for this change and this post is pivotal to leading and influencing those that work and live within these neighbourhoods. To support and enable this change, the post holder will have strong influencing skills and be a highly visible, compassionate and thoughtful leader.

Main duties of the job
Working to the Director of Nursing for this function and managing a forward thinking and innovative team you will be a senior nurse already working at Deputy Director level or equivalent.
You should have a proven track record of leading on quality improvement and have professional credibility to ensure that there is a strong clinical voice at the Board and in the wider system.
You will actively deputise for the Director of Nursing for this function across their full portfolio and play a key role in the delivery of the ICB strategic objectives and the development and delivery of relevant strategies. This will require actively engaging with a wide range of professionals to promote clinical engagement and involvement in improving quality in the services the ICB commissions.
You will be able to work across portfolios and functions with your deputy director colleagues to ensure the operating model for nursing and quality works effectively.
As Deputy Director of Nursing, you will lead a diverse portfolio providing senior clinical and professional nursing within the ICB and across the wider health and care community.
As a registered nurse with current NMC registration you will have significant post registration experience across a variety of settings with recent senior level NHS experience of leading delivery through teams.
