Job summary

NHS Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board is seeking an experienced Senior Operations and Resilience Manager to join our EPRR team which is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction on the resilience and responsiveness of NHS services across the ICB.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the planning and assurance of emergency preparedness, resilience and response, engaging with a range of key stakeholders, and ensuring that the ICB and partners is well prepared to respond to and learn from various forms of incidents.

Working within the Chief Operating Officer's directorate, the postholder will maintain and enhance the emergency preparedness, resilience and response capability of the Humber and North Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership and ensure effective oversight of the work of the ICBs System Coordination Centre. This includes working with internal business continuity planning across the Corporate Affairs portfolio.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will have experience of EPRR and operational resilience. They will have a good understanding of assurance for emergency preparedness, resilience and response.

The postholder will be an excellent communicator, verbal and written, both internally and externally.

The postholder will be a subject matter expert, ensuring that support and advice is always available to directors on issues of resilience.

The postholder will have responsibility for strategic and operational development to ensure a safe and effective response to incidents and emergencies.

Experience

Essential

  • In depth additional expert knowledge acquired over a significant period of time in the area of EPRR and/or Operational Resilience
  • Subject matter expertise across a number of key areas relating to EPRR.
  • Proven and significant leadership experience and/or formal management qualification.
  • Significant evidence of continued professional development Demonstrated expertise in a Healthcare environment
  • Proven senior level experience of leading and delivering complex change and strategy development programmes in a politically sensitive and complex environment
  • Significant management experience at senior level in the NHS or other public healthcare related industry
  • Significant experience and understanding of proven implementation of project management methodologies or a Prince 2 or managing successful projects practitioner.
  • Significant experience of managing and prioritising a large budget with solid knowledge of financial process requirements
  • Extensive experience of delivering presentations to large groups of stakeholders in often pressured and politically sensitive environments
  • Member of a relevant professional body.
