The post holder
will support the Strategic Business Intelligence Lead to:
Analysis and
synthesis (data analyst)
understand and help teams to apply a range of
methods to analyse research data and synthesise findings

Management
and Leadership Responsibilities
Managing third
parties (e.g. sub-contractors, interims) to ensure deliverables are met in a timely
manner and within budget.
Leading on the technical management and planning
with providers of data management services.

Will provide training in own area of work to other
professionals from a range of backgrounds as required.

Planning and
Organisational Responsibilities
Responsible to produce complex statistical
analysis and information, interpreting the results, and presenting the facts
and data limitations to colleagues at all levels to influence business critical
decision making.
Management all aspects of the delegated
specialist portfolio.
Support the day-to-day management of the BI
service and the achievement of the overall team performance and objectives.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service and implement
monitoring systems to improve quality and ensure the service is responsive to
ICB needs.
Develop common ways of working across the
Business Intelligence function through working with peers, encouraging
collaboration and innovation within the service, and delivering a service which
increases the overall performance of the ICS.
Maintain a detailed understanding of the
requirements of customers and ensure that these are fully met.
Work with all teams to help ensure compliance
with IG standards
Deputise for the Strategic Business Intelligence
Lead when necessary and appropriate.
Policy and
Service Development Responsibilities
Full
understanding of relevant Trust policies and procedures.
The post holder will propose and implement
changes to the Business Intelligence function within their area of
responsibility and will make recommendations to improve processes within the
wider system Intelligence function.
Provide accurate, quality assured and highly
complex information and analysis to support transformation and the redesign of
services.
Develop solutions for the Business intelligence
function to ensure emerging and future customer (internal and external) service
needs are met and lead the implementation of such solutions within designated
specialist area.
Continuously contribute to the design and update
of the teams Standard Operating Procedures documentation
Research and
Audit Responsibilities
Make decisions
and provide advice and guidance based on complex data, evidencing sources,
national/local guidance and legislation which may be conflicting.
Provide complex analysis and benchmarking to
support research and identify audit need.
Carrying out aspects of Research and Development
activities, collating information, analysing and reporting findings.
Managing
Resources Responsibilities
Act in a way that is compliant with Standing
Orders and Standing Financial Instructions in the discharge of budget
management responsibilities as an authorised signatory.
Identify products, equipment, services and
facilities for assigned activities, achieving
stakeholder buy-in as required.
Responsible for the budget allocated to
the programme of work, ensuring resource is
appropriately and allocated.
Support the ICB Deputy Directors of both
Data & Business Intelligence, and Population Health Intelligence, on appropriate
use of technical data approaches.
Education
and Training Responsibilities
Standard
keyboard skills or equivalent advanced skills for accurate manipulation of
large amounts of data/information systems as appropriate to the role.
Maintain up to date mandatory and role specific
training and knowledge as required.
Standard driving skills.
Ability to commute across the local and regional
network and the Humber and North Yorkshire geographical footprint.
