Job summary

The base for this role can be located at any of the HNY ICB offices

The Principal Analyst for Cancer will be responsible for working with the Cancer Alliance on the improvement and monitoring of Cancer health services across the system. They will be working to improve not only direct care services, but prevention, detection and diagnostics of cancer pathways using analytics to support decision making.

As part of the Humber and North Yorkshire ICB Business Intelligence team, you will be working with other analysts across the team and wider analytics system, along with developers within the ICB on our Microsoft Azure data tools, including Power BI.

Main duties of the job

The candidate will develop and manage a complex information systems and datasets, process large volumes of patient-based health data to provide reporting and insight into cancer services and demand across the system.

They will directly work with the Cancer Alliance senior management team to understand their requirements, and develop informatics plans to develop, deploy and maintain these with the support of the wider team, while ensuring they keep up to date with best practice.
