of a Reporting Accountant

NHS Integrated Care Board is pleased to offer the recruitment of a Reporting
Accountant role in a team where we provide expert analysis and business support. (NHS Agenda for
Change pay scale band 6 (salaries range from
£37,338 to £44,962).
We have an exciting role available where you will support planning activities
and help us identify opportunities for change and improvement of services. Your
financial and analytical skills will be closely involved, supporting the
delivery of our savings, efficiency, and productivity programme.
The post holder will work as part of a dynamic team, supporting all
aspects of financial management around the savings and efficiency programme,
including close liaison with budget holders and project leads around financial
performance of the schemes within the plan.
The successful candidate will support the preparation of monthly
reporting which will also include variance analysis and investigation. As a key
member of the team the candidate will support the delivery of improved
efficiency and value for money.
The role will provide opportunity to develop a wide range of financial
and analytical skills and working with a range of colleagues on different
projects will also provide knowledge development and involvement a variety of
interesting service changes.
Main duties of the job
Day-to-day, you will be
Supporting the preparation, overview and financial reporting
of our Savings, Efficiency and Productivity Plan.
Supporting project benefits to be realized by providing access to our expert
financial and business analytical support team.
Working with our system colleagues in support of planning
and reporting for the wider System Savings, Efficiency and Productivity plan.
Working with colleagues to identify and understand
key opportunity for improving efficiency including benchmarking.
Supporting in the development and review of
business cases. Supporting the review and evaluation of a wide and interesting
range of projects.
What you'll need to succeed
Either part qualified CCAB accountant, AAT
qualified OR educated to degree level in relevant subject.
Excellent
communication skills and the capacity to collaborate effectively with
colleagues.
Ability to share financial information to
non-financial stakeholders.
Ability to build relationships and manage key
stakeholders.
Knowledge
of IT systems and software programmes such as Power BI, Excel and Powerpoint.
Proficient in Excel and meticulous attention to detail.
Comprehensive knowledge of project management and /
or financial reporting process.

benchmarking process enabling ongoing development of the Savings, Efficiency
and Productivity Plan.

Contribute
to effective liaison with system colleagues in support of delivery of the
