Job summary
The Children, Young People and
Maternity team is made up of three portfolio areas: Children & Young People
(SEND/LD/Neuro), Children & Young Peoples Mental Health, and Maternity all
working to improve outcomes for families across Gloucestershire. We are a large
team with a range of expertise offering an exciting opportunity for a new team
member to join us as Children
& Young Peoples Mental Health Programme Manager (1WTE 37.5hrs).
Main duties of the job
This is a fantastic opportunity for the
successful candidate to flourish in a fast-moving complex environment, working
with colleagues within our local trusts and wider partnership across the system
with both clinicians and non-clinicians. The post-holder will work within their
specific portfolio area to provide and lead practical support in the
development and execution of programmes and projects of transformational
change, cost improvement and quality service improvement and redesign.

- Knowledge of a range of specific project areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training, plus further specialist project management knowledge or experience to masters level equivalent.
- Experience of managing significant health service development projects.
- Excellent knowledge of best practice in relation to the specific service area and ability to command respect of other clinicians of all disciplines.
- Good knowledge and understanding of local authority processes and political context.
- Experience of managing complex operational and strategic workforce programmes.
- Experience of leading and act upon incomplete information, using experience to make inferences and decision making.
- Numerate and able to understand complex financial issues combined with deep analytical skills.
- Experience of setting up and implementing internal processes and procedures.
- Knowledge of Financial Systems e.g. monitoring budget management, processing invoices and procurement.
