Job summary

The Ealing Borough Team in North West London ICB is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join a dynamic, diverse and compassionate team; providing Project Management support for the programme priorities within the Borough. The post holder will manage a portfolio of programmes and lead on their implementation, to help Ealing deliver improved health outcomes for their patient population and reduce health inequalities to support positive patient experience.

The post holder will be required to use project management tools and techniques to support the effective delivery of the programmes under their portfolio, demonstrating strong partnership working skills and teamwork ethic. The successful candidate will be reporting to the Programme Delivery Manager.

Role specification and generic job description are attached and detail an outline of the tasks, responsibilities and outcomes required of the role. The post holder may need to carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required by their line manager.

Main duties of the job

The post-holder will deliver an assignment project that forms part of the team's overall portfolio of activities. The post-holder will be required to use project management tools and techniques to support the project's effective delivery, including ensuring effective communication with key stakeholders, both within and potentially outside of the organisation.

The post-holder will be expected to:

Provide a robust project management approach to the delivery of programmes, including:

  • establishing clear project plans, timescales and outcome measures
  • monitoring activity and progress against these
  • providing clear reporting
  • ensure project closure is conducted thoroughly
  • Undertake data analysis and evaluation to support the development and delivery of their assignment
  • Support the creation of effective documentation in support of their assignment, including
  • Business cases
  • Service specifications
  • Board level reporting
  • Patient engagement materials
  • Take responsibility, as appropriate to the assignment, for financial and commissioning related to an assignment
  • Actively engage and work collaboratively with the colleagues and partners, including external partners

The role will require adopting a methodical approach to Quality Improvement through change that ensures safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, efficient and equitable care co-produced with patients, service users and staff.

NHS North West London Integrated Care Board (NHS NWL ICB) is a statutory body responsible for planning and allocating health and care resources to improve the lives of people in eight boroughs across North West London: Brent, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Harrow, Hillingdon, Hounslow, Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Westminster.

  • Knowledge and expertise of project management and leadership, potentially including specialist expertise related to a specific domain
  • Providing high quality project leadership, project management and support to ensure that the assigned project, tasks and activities are led, planned, managed and delivered effectively
  • Producing and updating key documents using the full suite of Microsoft Office tools including programme plans, programme risk and issue logs, preparing risk reports, progress reports, and dependency logs
