Job summary

The NWL Digital First Team is seeking to recruit a Digital Access Project Manager, Digital First.

The role of the Digital Access Project Manager is to provide project management support to the Digital Access projects within Primary Care at North West London ICS. This includes Online Consultations, Digital Access Hubs and Telephony. NWL is looking for a candidate that has experience of project managing similar projects. This will involves working with multiple agencies to design and deliver projects that support working at scale, co-design, deliver and review new process. The role requires clear communicate to ensure that stakeholders across the system remain informed and consulted. It is essential that any new IT is adopted both by the local workforce and the patient population.

The post holder will take the lead mobilising Digital Access projects across a defined borough as well as projects that cover North West Londons GP practice population. All Digital First Project Managers are responsible for: overarching project plans, day-to-day delivery, monitoring and flagging associated risks and issues (escalating where appropriate), and reporting into associated programme boards on progress. The post holder will ensure effective management of dependencies within the programme and across the portfolio of programmes. The post holder will develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholder in North West London ICS and any external stakeholders.

Main duties of the job

The successful post holder will have the capability to quickly grasp the critical challenges of the post as well as being an organised individual with solid planning and communications skills.

The Digital First Programme is leading the delivery of digital transformation in Primary Care across the 8 boroughs in North West London ICB, to enhance population health management, improve clinical efficiency and deliver better outcomes for patients.

This post holder will work to deliver transformational projects across North West London ICS, with a patient population of 2.7 million, across 8 boroughs.

This programme is driven by clinical leadership with the aim of using digital technology to:

Improving the health of patients across NWL

Support and reduce the burden for both clinical and administrators in Primary Care

To reduce the demand on Primary Care

To demonstrate the return on investment

In partnership with NHS England, ensure all programmes use best practice, with robust programme planning, evaluation, communications, procurement and contract regulations, risk assessments and outcomes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The post holder will:

Overseeing the transformation of NW Londons digital system by harnessing innovative technologies and mobilising Online Consultation and telephony models to simplify patient access to the most appropriate clinical care settings;

Lead on delivering online consultation across NWL ICS ensuring they are planned, managed and evaluated in a timely and effective way to ensure high quality of delivery across the portfolio;

Continuously support Online Consultation and Digital Access uptake within the local landscape, by providing patients with consistency across the NWL footprint;

Take responsibility for identifying and reporting on risks and issues, planning and executing mitigating actions to resolve, where required;

Take responsibility for the accuracy, reliability and appropriateness of data, ensuring quality decisions using evidential backing;

Lead on the analysis and reporting of specific target areas as agreed by programme governance;

Supporting the Head of Digital First and Director of Programmes in the production of strategic reports and briefings for the projects Senior Responsible Officer, Clinical Leads, Primary Care Boroughs, NHS England (London), and other stakeholders as appropriate;

Assisting the Head of Digital First and Director of Programmes in the development of the team and the setting of its strategic direction, identifying future opportunities for pan-London projects as they arise.

Producing & managing project plans, RAID Logs and roll-out schedules for all allocated projects to ensure milestones are met within agreed timescales;

Update Finance department with all new account information and finance related decisions, seeking permissions as per previously agreed tolerance thresholds;

Devise and distribute work packages to implementation consultants;
