Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for fixed term position up to a 12-month period, working to two sessions per week, for a Respiratory and Physical Health GP Clinical Lead in the North Kensington Recovery Programme Grenfell (NKR.) We are seeking a GP Clinical Lead who is able to work with a range of services, primary care, local government, NHS England, Survivors and the Bereaved and patient groups in the Grenfell Tower fire impacted communities.

North Kensington is an area that is rich in diversity, has residents with a strong sense of place and resilient communities. In the immediate period following the Grenfell Tower incident on 14 June 2017, the NHS (CNWL NHS Foundation Trust, CLCH NHS Trust, West London NHS Trust and NHS West London CCG) worked in partnership with the local authority and the third sector to design and mobilise support services to meet the immediate mental health and wellbeing needs of the local communities.

Knowledge of the current and ongoing Grenfell Tower fire specific concerns is required. The post holder will provide clinical expertise to the clinical delivery of the long term health monitoring element of the NKR programme working with NKRs other Clinical / Consultant Leads; as well as work to ensure operational delivery of services within primary care to meet the evolving needs of the local communities addressing virtual / face to face appointments and language / diverse cultural challenges, to ensure that services are available and accessible.

Main duties of the job

A proven track record of rapidly developing relationships including with local patient populations, working with a range of cross-organisational stakeholders and working within a highly politically sensitive landscape, is expected. We are looking for a GP clinician committed to delivering services in a challenging environment who wants to make a positive difference in the lives of Grenfell tower fire impacted communities.

We are keen to receive applications from GP members of Practices within the North Kensington geography or wider West London Borough where there are registered Grenfell Tower fire affected Survivor / Bereaved / wider-North Kensington patients.
