Professional and Clinical Lead for MASH Health

The Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board ICB changing to Norfolk and Suffolk ICB from April 2026 are looking for a health professional who is committed to supporting the safeguarding needs of children and vulnerable adults across Suffolk.

The post holder will have amanagerial responsibility for the Health team in Suffolk's Muti Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). They will be a member of the MASH leadership team supporting safeguarding decisions and strategic planning.

This exciting opportunity should appeal to someone with effective team leadership experience. This person will be autonomous is managing a fast-paced team with risk assessment and challenging decisions constantly at the forefront of the work. They will facilitate the provision of training, advice and support to Suffolk's Health economy.They will be knowledgeable about Child and Adult safeguarding and confident in supporting health colleagues in their safeguarding responsibilities. They will need to be a calm and confident leader with excellent communication skills.

They will have a leading role in developing the Suffolk's Safeguarding duties in a Multi-Agency arena requiring change management. They will be part of Multi-Agency reviews and development locally and nationally.

This team will be moving to a provider organisation in the future.

Main duties of the job

Proactively take ownership of health input within the MASH and be clear about the health offer.

Ensure health involvement in all aspects of the MASH process e.g. from initial triage to attendance at threshold and strategy meetings within MASH.

Be the strategic lead for health within the MASH working collaboratively with partner agencies to implement policies and practice within the MASH strategy, policies and guidance.

To offer health specific safeguarding advice and expertise within the MASH

To facilitate the prompt exchange of significant information to inform safeguarding assessments.

To oversee the MASH Health team performance and report within key SNEE ICB forums.

As a Deputy Designate within the MASH you will be a key member of the Designated Safeguarding Team with responsibility to contribute to wider service delivery.

To manage and oversee the MASH budget.

To Provide effective, professional, managerial leadership and co-ordination of the MASH Health team.

Be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in health economy and multi-agency professionals in order to ensure communication and collaboration in safeguarding . This includes providing expert and specialist advice, training and support to key partners within both community and acute settings.

Provide regular statistical and informational reports and complete audits.
