We promote high quality, safe and cost-effective
prescribing. This role will have a particular focus on Ipswich & East
Suffolk and North East Essex, and will keep a close working relationship with
the team in our West Suffolk Alliance. It is essential you have access to an
appropriate means of transport to travel independently and regularly across the
geographical area of Suffolk and North East Essex and potentially further
beyond.
There is no requirement for weekend, bank holiday or evening
working. Salary is in accordance with the NHS AfC pay scale, and we offer NHS
pension and benefits.
Main duties of the job
- To lead the implementation of adult dietetic related strategies across the Integrated Care System with the purpose of improving health outcomes, reducing avoidable harm and avoiding waste.
- Lead on the development and maintenance of local clinical guidance, formularies, and protocols.
- Improving cost effective use of dietetic products.
- Work with GP practices and PCNs system to review adult patients prescribed dietetic products. The role does not have any patient contact.
- Designing and delivering dietetic related training and education to primary care across the system
