Job summary
The Suffolk and North East Essex Integrated Care Board (SNEE
ICB) are looking for a health professional who is committed to supporting the safeguarding
needs of children and vulnerable adults across Suffolk.
The post holder will be
part of a Designated Professionals team and have a managerial responsibility for the Health team
in Suffolks Muti Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). They will be a member of the
MASH leadership team supporting safeguarding decisions and strategic
planning.
This exciting opportunity should
appeal to someone with effective team leadership experience. This person will be
autonomous is managing a fast-paced team with risk assessment and challenging
decisions constantly at the forefront of the work. They will facilitate the
provision of training, advice and support to Suffolk's Health economy.
They will be knowledgeable about Child and
Adult safeguarding and confident in supporting health colleagues in their
safeguarding responsibilities. They will need to be a calm and confident leader
with excellent communication skills. They will represent the ICB at Multi-Agency
meetings. They
will have a leading role in developing the Suffolk's Safeguarding duties in a
Multi-Agency arena requiring change management. They will be part of Multi-Agency
reviews and development locally and nationally.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for
the management of the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) health team for
child and vulnerable adult safeguarding referrals in Suffolk.
Proactively
contribute to the strategic development of the MASH service for children and
vulnerable adults to meet local and national directives.
Facilitate the
delivery of service improvements, performance targets and best practice within
available resources.
Provide
leadership and direction to staff, enabling a culture of learning and
effectiveness.
Deputise where
needed for the Designated Nurse Safeguarding Children/Adults.
Proactively take ownership of health input within
the MASH and be clear about the health offer.
Ensure health involvement in all aspects of the
MASH process e.g. from initial triage to attendance at threshold and strategy
meetings within MASH.
Be the strategic lead for health within the MASH
working collaboratively with partner agencies to implement policies and
practice within the MASH strategy, policies and guidance.
To offer health specific safeguarding advice and
expertise within the MASH
