Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within EPRR team delivering specialist Emergency Planning and Business Continuity Management services. This post offers an outstanding opportunity for the post holder to gain experience of delivering services across the health sector and in collaboration with Local Resilience Forum partners across SNEE.

The post holder will be a key member of the ICBs EPRR team supporting the ICB to deliver its leadership role in emergency response and through its assurance role, to ensure that all NHS hospitals, community services, primary care and mental health organisations are able to provide coordinated and effective responses to emergencies and incidents.

As part of the EPRR Team the post holder will actively work to ensure that we meet our EPRR responsibilities as a Category One Responder as defined in the Civil Contingencies Act and as set out in the NHS England EPRR Framework 2022.

Responsible to the EPRR Manager the post holder will support the delivery of the ICB and the ICS EPRR workplan working collaboratively with system and LRF partners.

Interviews will be held face to face on the 13th December 2024.

Main duties of the job

Responsible for supporting the development of EPRR systems, processes and activities ensuring they are fit for purpose.

Responsible for providing a variety of policy and problem-solving input and expertise into the development of key EPRR policies.

Maintain close links and communication, working closely with EPRR leads from both our regional team and provider network on key areas such as planning, response and statutory requirements.

To support delivery of training and exercising across our system to further increase individual, team and organisational skills and resilience. Supporting the Local Resilience Forums (LRF) and Local Health Resilience Partnerships (LHRP) in conjunction with the EPRR Manager.

Undertaking roles within the Incident Coordination Centre to manage the response to incidents affecting health and social care.

Working with the EPRR and Local Resilience Forum teams to ensure that incident processes are constantly improved from incident lessons identified.

To act in an EPRR Tactical Advisor role in the event of an emergency or major disruptive event by providing support to the tactical and strategic commanders.
