Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Pharmacy, Optometry and Dentistry team for the Suffolk and North East Essex ICB.

Due to a recent delegation of Dental Services there are three vacancies, two of which are new. These posts will support the dental team to deliver the commissioning workplan and to provide dental commissioning and contracting expertise to individual ICBs.

The role is pivotal to forging effective working relationships with partners providing expert support to the Integrated Care Board with regards to the commissioning and transformation of delegated Primary Care Dental Services. In addition, the postholder will be part of the team responsible for the implementation of national policy informing and developing the way in which transformation is delivered.

Main duties of the job

To Lead on the management of service delivery through contract management within an agreed portfolio

To respond to and communicate with Providers, and review providers and assess delivery against contractual standards.

To lead on the directorate in the development, negotiation, preparation and management of contract.

To manage core business as usual work with providers including the use of Compass as well as writing Contract Variations, meeting providers, responding to provider queries, as well as supporting the Dental Contracts and Transformation Lead in transformation work within Suffolk and North Easts Essex Contract Portfolio.

Implement policies and propose changes to practices, procedures for dental policy and service changes.

Work across the Primary Care Team to support the development of policies and protocols.

Lead on the implementation of new projects to improve dental services within Suffolk and North East Essex.

Support the Head of Dental Contracts to monitor budgets and financial initiatives that occur within Suffolk and North East Essex
