Job summary

The successful candidate will join the System Coordination Centre (SCC) within the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Integrated Care Board (ICB) as a highly motivated professional, taking on a key leadership role. They will be responsible for delivering operational leadership to ensure effective system-wide coordination and maintaining flow across Urgent and Emergency Care (UEC) pathways.

The Cambridgeshire & Peterborough SCC is nationally recognised for its advanced maturity, cutting-edge digital systems enabling real-time reporting and forecasting, and its comprehensive oversight of system risks. We are seeking a candidate who can build on and utilise their subject matter expertise and skills to enhance service delivery. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and ensure the implementation of national and local guidance, delivering system assurance through clear, actionable strategies and pre-set targets.

Main duties of the job

Daily use of performance monitoring tools (i.e. Shrewd, EEAST and EMAS CAD) to monitor and forecast system performance, identify areas of risk, and engage with system partners as required to address areas of risk in a proactive manner

    Ensure that system operational resilience is maintained through following frameworks and protocols

      To chair daily System Resilience Calls, challenging partners, gaining assurance and clarifying actions as required to improve or maintain flow

        To support the delivery of day to day activities to manage system flow and escalation and ensure completion of appropriate reporting

        To liaise with the wider ICB teams to contribute operational feedback to a range of business initiatives and projects

          Lead the delivery of project plans as allocated by line manager, identifying risks, issues, and dependencies, considering best practice and current options and ultimately making decisions in the best interest of the project

            To operate in a highly political and sensitive environment
