Job summary

Patient and public engagement and communications are at the heart of the NHS and are core components of helping to transform services. As the world of the NHS gets more demanding and complex there is greater need to develop the NHS Frimley and the Frimley Health and Care Integrated Care System's (ICS) role in communicating and engaging with the public, partners and other stakeholders.

Our purpose is to create an inspiring approach to engaging, involving and communicating with communities, partners and our teams. We use the insights we gather to make a difference to local people.

Main duties of the job

We have made a commitment to develop strong relationships with patients, local communities, and thepublic, and to build relationships that can help us ensure these voices are really heard. To do this, weneed to have the capacity and ability to work in an integrated way, combining communications andengagement in the belief that good communications encourage engagement, and that good engagementinforms communications.

The Communications and Engagement Officer will work as part of the NHS Frimley communications andengagement team. Reporting to the Head of Communications and Engagement.

About us

NHS Frimley Integrated Care Board was formed on 1 July 2022 under the Health and Care Act 2022, replacing NHS Frimley Clinical Commissioning Group.

The ICB is the new statutory NHS organisation responsible for planning and delivering health and care services. It will work collaboratively with partner organisations including the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector, people and communities across theFrimley Health and Care Integrated Care System (ICS).
