Job summary
The ICB is now looking for a Fixed Term Financial Controller (20-month term) to lead and support the organisation through a period of Maternity Leave.
Main duties of the job
The role will involve managing a small team with oversight of ICB financial accounting, control and governance activities, including financial accounting operations across the transactional finance team, reporting to the Deputy Chief Finance Officer.
The role provides a key role to ensure robust financial controls are in place within the ICB, and will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate production of the ICB annual accounts.

Knowledge, Training and Experience

- Educated to masters level or equivalent level of experience of working at a senior level in specialist area.
- Extensive knowledge of specialist areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience or training plus further specialist knowledge or experience to master's level equivalent
- Significant post qualifications experience (5 years) in financial management and evidence of continuing professional development
- Must have an understanding of the background to and aims of current healthcare policy and appreciate the implications of this on engagement
- Should have an appreciation of the relationship between the Department of Health, the NHSE/I and individual provider and commissioning organisations
- Member of relevant professional body (CCAB qualified)
