Job summary
The postholder will lead the commissioning responsibilities for primary care services for Cheshire & Merseyside ICB at Liverpool Place. Working closely with stakeholders in General Practice, practice managers, clinical leads, Primary Care Networks (Clinical Directors and managers), the Local Medical Committee in the delivery of the GMS / APMS contract requirements. The postholder will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of the Neighbourhood Health guidelines with a particular focus on primary and community integrationThe post holder will lead the Department/Directorate/Programme and the team to ensure that work stream and programmes are planned and carried out effectively.The post holder will lead the provision of an efficient, effective and high quality professional and well co-ordinated procurement and contract management service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements ensuring alignment with the activity of the organisation
Main duties of the job
1. To lead the development and delivery of service in primary care in line with the Policy Guidance Manual, national policy requirements and the NHS Long Term Plan2. The post-holder will be responsible for leading the development and commissioning of General Practice services at place in line with the Cheshire & Merseyside decision matrix for primary care. 3. To work with partners on development and implementation of the Neighbourhood Health Guidelines 2025/26 with a particular focus on primary and community integration.4. Lead the management and coordination of the Liverpool primary care team response to meet the requirements of the national team (NHSE), the central C&M-ICB primary care team and local place developments.5. The development and delivery of the Liverpool Place Primary Care strategy.6. To ensure appropriate public, partner and other stakeholder engagement across allocated programmes of work.7. To lead and manage the primary care team and projects as appropriate.8. To commission a range of primary care services at Place.
