You will be an integral member of the ICB Medicines Management Team and will support the implementation of the ICB Medicines Management Strategy and Area Prescribing Committee recommendations to achieve high quality, evidence based, safe and cost-effective use of medicines.
You will be enthusiastic and highly motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills, and an understanding of primary care. You will be agile working and based in GP surgeries providing invaluable practical support and guidance to practice staff and other members of the healthcare team.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be a full-time Practice Pharmacist working mainly within general practices providing practical and clinical support to improve the management of medicines.
Support the line management of Medicines Management Technicians
They will undertake medicines optimisation within the Medicines Management Work Plan, medication reviews with direct contact with patients and provide professional advice to health professionals about Medicines Management. They will be involved in educating patients and health professionals about medicines.
They will be an integral member of the NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Medicines Management Team in Knowsley, who will implement the NHS Cheshire and Merseyside Medicines Management Work Plan to deliver medicines optimisation and reduce medicines waste.
