Are you passionate about driving medicines optimisation, data driven care and value across a complex, diverse health and care system? NHS South East London Integrated Care Board (SEL ICB) is seeking a dynamic, collaborative Lead Pharmacist to join our Medicines Optimisation team on a fixed term basis for 2 years. Main duties of the job
As Lead Pharmacist, Medicines Value, you will:
Work across the sector: Collaborate with primary care, community pharmacy, secondary care, social care, public health, and voluntary sector partners across South East London to deliver medicines value and reduce health inequalities.
Deliver system sustainability goals: Lead and support the delivery of the system sustainability programme for medicines value, focusing on pathway redesign, value-based frameworks, and system-wide transformation to maximise outcomes from an £850 million prescribing spend across the healthcare system.
Champion joint working with industry: Develop meaningful partnerships with the pharmaceutical industry to ensure the adoption of high-value, innovative medicines, and contribute to national and regional medicines value initiatives.
Use data for population health: Apply data insights to inform commissioning decisions, aligned with population health priorities, digital innovation, and outcomes-focused approaches.
We are Looking For:o A registered pharmacist with significant experience in medicines optimisation, commissioning, and system transformation.o Proven ability to work collaboratively across organisational boundaries and with a wide range of stakeholders.o Experience in managing complex projects, budgets, and delivering measurable improvements in medicines value.o Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills, with a commitment to equality, diversity, and sustainability.

The South East London Integrated Care Board (SEL ICB) brings together the health and care partners that serve our vibrant and highly diverse populations resident in the London boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Greenwich - our Places.
The SEL ICB is the NHS management unit of the Integrated Care System (ICS). It is accountable both to NHS England and to the SEL Integrated Care Partnership (ICP). The ICS exists to deliver four core purposes:
