Job summary
We are recruiting a clinical and care professional lead to support our programme of work on transforming and integrating medicines optimisation. The post holder will provide clinical and strategic input to improve the quality & safety of prescribing across South East London. This will include clinical expertise and leadership to the SEL Integrated Medicines Optimisation Committee (SEL IMOC) and its sub-groups, medicines safety and antimicrobial stewardship
Please note: Given the nature of the role, candidates should already be working in the South East London area
Main duties of the job
In this role, you will be responsible for;o Championing medicines optimisation to facilitate safe and effective care across all care sectors and professional groups.o Contributing to the vision for improving medicines optimisation across South East London by challenging processes and existing practices across all health care sectors where these could be improved or where best practice can be applied.o Promoting engagement and collaboration between NHS organisations in SEL to reduce variation and spread high value prescribing initiativeso Providing specialty specific advice and guidance to the relevant groups and stakeholders across the system, including supporting the South East London Transforming and Integrating Medicines Optimisation programme across ICS partners.o Providing primary care expertise to service transformation and pathway redesigno Actively participating in and contributing primary care expertise to the SEL IMOC and its sub-groups.o Supporting the programmes of work under medicines safety and antimicrobial stewardship

- Significant current or previous experience of prescribing in general practice/PCN.

- Excellent interpersonal communication (written, oral, presentation and facilitation) networking and negotiating skills
