Mental Health Commissioning Manager

Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced commissioner to join the Integrated Commissioning Team in Bexley to support mental health commissioning at place level. The role leads on the commissioning and monitoring of several key contracts for the Bexley Wellbeing Partnership, including Talking Therapies, Mental Health Recovery & Employment Services, and Mental Health Advocacy, manages grant agreeements with a number of voluntary sector partners and monitors individual placement commissioning for individuals subject to Section 117 of the Mental Health Act.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be part of a supportive team which works jointly across adults and children' services in the borough and will work integrally with our adult mental health provider Oxleas NHS Trust to ensure our integrated care pathways deliver the best outcomes for local people.

This is initially a fixed term contract for one year with the possibility of movement to a permanent contract in due course.

The Integrated Commissioning Team in Bexley works across the ICB and London Borough of Bexley to maximise outcomes for some of our most vulnerable residents. In line with the development of the ICS this post will also link closely with Oxleas NHS FT and Adult Social Care and has a key role in working with the voluntary sector.
