As a senior pharmacist, you will work with our pharmacy leadership team, to support the delivery of the SEL ICB medicines agenda. You will lead the day-to-day operation of the South East London Integrated Pharmacy Stakeholder Group (IPSG) and its main working groups, through engaging, collaborating and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The SEL IPSG is a Pharmacy Leadership forum with representation from senior Pharmacy leaders from different sectors in SEL. The Group leads the Medicines Optimisation & Pharmacy transformation and integration programme, with a focus on medicines value, Community Pharmacy and workforce integration.
Main duties of the job
This role is one of two lead pharmacist roles in the Integrated Medicines Optimisation team, line managed by the Assistant Director, Integrated Medicines Optimisation, working across South East London (SEL). The postholders will work across SEL Integrated Care System (ICS) to lead a defined portfolio of our SEL Transforming and Integrating Medicines Optimisation (TIMO) programme. Whilst the focus of this role will be leading and supporting workstreams under the SEL IPSG, the post holder will work in partnership with their counterpart, who works closely with the SEL IMOC. This will include some shared responsibilities and providing cross cover as necessary.
You will also support the delivery of the Long Term Conditions improvement programmes, providing advice and guidance to GPs and other healthcare professionals across the system. You will use your clinical skills and knowledge to support service redesign, system planning and service integration and will also support pharmacy integration and medicines optimisation initiatives aligned to national and local priorities.
Whilst this role is full time (37.5 hours per week), applications from those who are able to work a minimum of 30 hours per week, or are applying on a job share basis, will also be considered. Please note that applicants should be available to work on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which are critical team and meeting days.

You will be joining a well established Medicines Optimisation and Pharmacy system in South East London. An Integrated Medicines Optimisation Committee (IMOC) provides a forum for multidisciplinary, clinical decision making on medicines.

- Degree in Pharmacy: currently a master's degree taking 4 years plus one year pre-registration (5 years in total) or equivalent.
- Current registration with General Pharmaceutical Council
- Postgraduate Certificate, Diploma or MSc in a pharmacy discipline or evidence of extensive clinical training and experience.
