Job summary
We require a highly motivated registered nurse with significant experience in the specialism of Continuing healthcare. The role is an exciting opportunity to join our Southwark place based CHC team.
The post-holder will be responsible for commissioning high-quality cost-effective NHS funded care for adults with continuing healthcare needs and children who meet the criteria for continuing care (CHC/CYPCC).
The post-holder will also be responsible for reviewing Fast Track packages of care, and enhanced packages of care.
Applicants must have relevant degree or professional qualification in Nursing.
Main duties of the job

The post-holder will be responsible for commissioning high-quality cost-effective NHS funded care for adults with continuing healthcare needs and children who meet the criteria for continuing care (CHC/CYPCC). They will play a key role in developing partnership working and support the joint planning and commissioning processes that are developed within the local health and social care economy. They will play a supporting role in the development, interpretation, implementation and monitoring of overall continuing healthcare service policy and strategy.
The post holder will also be involved in providing clinical assurance that the CHC/CYPCC service in Southwark operates according to the National Framework.
About us
NHS South East London Integrated Commissioning Board is the statutory body responsible for commissioning healthcare services to South East London's 1.9 million residents of the boroughs of Bexley, Bromley, Greenwich, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.
The ICB buys services from hospitals, ambulance service and community service providers.
South East London ICB covers all GP practices in the area and is overseen by a governing body, which is responsible for making decisions about healthcare. The governing body includes GPs, nurses, a hospital doctor and other healthcare professionals and patient representatives. This is supported by other committees from July 2022 the Local Care Partnership governance arrangements, which will have delegated responsibility for commissioning local services.
South East London ICB's key priorities include:
